Cheese Burger Casserole Recipe
I found this delicious recipe on Pinterest the other day and thought it sounded and looked really good. However I tweaked it a bit and made it my own.
1 lb lean ground beef
1/4 cup chopped onion
1/4 cup chopped dill pickles
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup ketchup
1 – 1.5 tablespoon yellow mustard
1/8 teaspoon pepper
3/4 cups Cheddar cheese, sliced or grated (I used extra and I used slices)
1 can 8 oz can Crescent Roll
1 Tbsp Milk
1 pack of bacon
This can be cooked in the oven OR if you have a Ninja Cooking System (Which I do and LOOOOOOOVE it) I made mine in my Ninja.
First you brown the hamburger, your bacon and your onion.
After browned, you add the rest of your Ingredients: dill pickles (chopped up, You can dice small but I thought it brought some texture and crunch with more of a course chop), ketchup, mustard. I think I MIGHT try and add a Mayonnaise or maybe some 1000 Island dressing like Big Mac sauce to see what I get.
After all is mixed up you can let it cook a few minutes together then if you are using your stove top put the mixture into a oven safe casserole dish. If you are cooking with the Ninja I noticed that you can simply pick up and insert into stove.
After transfer, Put slices of cheese (or you can do shredded) over the entire tip of mixture.
Roll out your Crescent Rolls and place them on top. Brush Milk over the top (I forgot to do this step but still tasted great) And place into 350 Degree Preheated oven. Cook til golden brown.
Once golden brown take out, Plate up and eat up! This was a hit in our home so I WILL make it again. Puts a fun spin on Cheeseburgers.
