Pancake Day at IHOP

Pancake Day at IHOP

Ok first let me start by apologizing in advance as most of my readers know I am a VIDEO blogger and sooo NOT a written blogger HOWEVER I am attempting to try it on this post! LOL!

Ihop pancake day

So at IHOP it is National Pancake Day and if you go in on March 4th (That is this coming up Tuesday) you will get a FREE…yes I said FREE short-stack of delicious fluffy yummy buttermilk pancakes and exchange for this morsel for your mouth they would really appreciate a donation towards Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. For me this is something I totally plan on doing cause if it was not for our children’s hospital in Honolulu Kapiolani Women’s and Children’s Hospital and the ENTIRE staff of the Wilcox unit as well as Dr Wendy Hirsch and Kapiolani’s Chief Canine Officer Tucker (see pic below of my Tucker Man)

How could this face NOT make any child or parent smile RIGHT??

These people took such EXCELLENT care of my son and helped keep his momma sane for a month and half. As my readers here might not know July 6th 2011 my son was airlifted to Honolulu from here in Hilo Hawaii after having emergency surgery. My sons appendix ruptured with NO symptoms what so ever and then after a while he started getting slight flu like symptoms so after my son telling me he was full when I asked hi if he would like at least some soup knowing very well he had not eaten anything in 2 days I decided to go ahead and take him to the ER. I was thinking flu they would give him antibiotics and send him little did I know he had poison running thru his body from a ruptured appendix for at least a week. Dr Johnson was very sympathetic to my obvious guilt running thru my heart and had the BEST bedside manner I have ever seen in a Dr ever! He sat down with me after the surgery was over and told me even tho he felt he was good my son was VERY sick (had we waited just one more day to bring him in he would not be turning 18 in June we would had lost him…VERY sobering thought for a parent that is for sure hence my guilt) that he needed to be airlifted to Kapiolani. And less then an hour later off we went! We spent a month and half in there. Once again the staff was AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME. So YES of course we will be joining IHOP in their National Pancake Day with pride in our hearts and pancakes swelling in our belly’s!
